Android Pad – Android Pads for everyone

As the android pad becomes more and more common, the array of choices available can become a bit overwhelming.  Unlike buying from Apple – when you buy an ipad you buy and ipad.  Sure you have a few choices, but in the end it’s an apple and it’s an ipad.

When selecting and android tablet the choice is not nearly so simple.  You can choose from many different styles, many price ranges, many options all from many manufacturers from many countries. This may be one of the main attractions of buying an android pad, but it is also one of the main problems with that choice.

Android Pad – where to begin?

How do you begin to narrow down the field?  Where to begin defining the combination of features that will help you purchase the ideal android tablet?  For most people the most sensible place to start is not the most fun.  You probably have a budget, and though it is much more fun to pick your ideal google pad, you may just get disappointed when you decide you really can’t afford it.  Or even worse, you might buy your perfect android pad and come to regret the decision later.

So narrow down your price range.  Can you afford:

  • less than $300 for an android tablet
  • $300 to $700 for a google pad
  • the sky’s the limit for  new android pads (don’t we all wish?)

No matter what your price range, you might be happily surprised by the number of choices you have.

Android Pads – choose your features

Even in the under $300 price range there is a large number of choices.  Just on Amazon there are over a hundred different choices, starting from around $150.  They range in size from 7″ to 10″ and even in this price range there are models with pretty much every available feature, though it may be difficult to find all the bells and whistles you want in one model.

There are some things to watch for when buying a less costly android tablet.  Some of the models are only priced so low if you purchase them in combination with a cellular access plan.  While these can be some great deals if that is what you are looking for, chaining yourself to a two year commitment for 3G that you might not really have a use for is not a decision to make lightly.

You also need to do proper research, especially when looking for a google pad at the bottom end of the price range.  Read all the reviews before deciding to buy.  The last thing you need to do is spend your hard earned money on an android pad that gives up the ghost two minutes after the warranty runs out.

When you get over $300, and especially over $600, you begin to see truly full featured tablets from major manufacturers.  These android pads have ten or twelve inch screens, 1GHz plus processors and full size hard drives.  Many will have two cameras and 3G capability.  Some come with keyboards to dock to for when a touch screen really won’t do it.

Additionally there are choices beyond just the Android pad operating system.  In this price range, windows becomes a choice as well as the old stand-by  the ipad.  If these android tablets are in your price range you really should be able to get just the pad you want.

Android Pad -To sum up

If an android pad is what you have in mind, you should have little trouble finding one that fits your needs.  First, choose a price range, second choose a set of features.  Do you need speed? Power? Video chat? Do you want to watch movies or play games?  Then go over the array of choices available to you and pick a couple.

Read the reviews and cross off the android tablets that don’t make the grade.  There are too many choices available to settle for a lemon.  Finally, buy your Android Pad from a trusted supplier like Amazon, so you know that if you do have problems they will be addressed.

Android Pad – Cheap isn’t cheap anymore

Cheap tablets have come a long way in just the last year.  It is no longer true that if you buy a cheap android pad you will just be throwing your money away.  While it is true that the cheap pads tend to be smaller and less powerful, they are still capable of playing games, streaming video like youtube, and many even have front facing cameras for video calls, just like their more expensive siblings.

Android tablets in the lower end of the price range are real tablets, not just spendy toys. You still need to do your homework and read the reviews, but depending on what you are looking for in an android pad, you just might find that one of these less expensive android tablets will work for you.

The Affordable Android Pad

Most people will find themselves searching for a so-called google pad in the $300 – $700 range.  Android tablets in this price range are full- featured pads in sizes ranging from seven to ten inches. Also in this price range are the first generation ipads.

The typical Android pad in this price range might have a 5mp camera on back and a 2mp front facing camera, and power and memory rivaling what you could have expected to find on  a desktop computer only a year and a half ago.  It is even possible to find an android tablet with unlocked 3G capablility.

The Cadillac Android Pad

In the $700+ price range you begin to get into android tablets that rival desktop computers in their abilities. With these android pads, the sky is the limit.  You can pretty much buy as much power and functionality as your wallet can afford.

3G, wifi hotspot, hd camera, gps, you name it – these android pads have got it.  Some even come with docking stations that have keyboards so they can function just like a laptop.  Many of these can’t even really be considered android pads, because they run full operating systems just like a laptop.

An Android Pad For Everyone

So, android pads are not just for early adopters or the wealthy anymore.  If you want an android pad there is one to fit your budget.  You may have to compromise a bit, but even that is not so true when android tablets in almost any price range come with two cameras and wifi capability.  So check out what is available, read the reviews, and go ahead and get yourself an android pad today.
